I tried really hard with this book and there was nothing wrong with it really. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I thought it would just be another crime novel but as can often happen with the crime genre, it got a little political. I've avoided TV shows like Homeland and 24 for these reasons so I didn't see a point in trying to finish a book that doesn't stimulate me. The writing was very good though, and a lot of thought and detail went into the story, it just wasn't for me.
