Breakfast At Tiffany's by Truman Capote

I tried really hard to like this book as I adore the film but I just couldn't get into it. A book of this size would normally take me a day at the most to read but this took me 3 days as I found it so difficult to get into. The story just didn't seem to lead anywhere and I was quite bored. I also found it very difficult to understand why anyone would actually like Holly Golightly as she seems arrogant, fiery and downright stupid at times, that most people confuse with naivety. I really wish that I could have liked this more but unfortunately I was more bored than anything.
